In this lab, the basic studies are primarily conducted on animals. We have a broad range of facilities to study the effects of different kinds of exercise training (e.g. endurance, resistance, combined, voluntary and involuntary) on body systems. To this end, physiological, pathological, molecular, behavioral and motional techniques have been employed.
In addition, we have been provided with the opportunity of studying the metabolic, neuromuscular and cardiac adaptions associated with exercise, physiological response to training in different environments, the effect of supplementation on training induced adaptations, the effect of exercise on different kinds of diseases (e.g. cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, respiratory, metabolic and nerve system disorders like stork) specially in the metabolomics context, the effect of exercise on pain, learning and memory in health, aging and children with developmental disorders.
Clinical studies have been in the center of attention in this lab. Furthermore, we collaborate with the faculty of physical activity and sport science of Bahonar University to conduct human studies.
